The Queensland Maritime Museum is staffed by an enthusiastic and informed group of volunteers whose wish is that your visit to the Museum is as enjoyable and informative as possible. Please bring your camera as many photo opportunities exist throughout the Museum.

At your service...

On arrival, our staff at the ticket counter will assist you with the ticket of your choice. More volunteers are located throughout the Museum to guide, inform and assist you. They will gladly answer any of your questions.

Back Packs

Due to the nature of some displays and to difficult access and confined spaces on board Diamantina, visitors are requested to take special care with carrying/wearing back packs and large bags or to leave them with reception. Storage is a free service for museum visitors.

Food and Drink

A number of restaurants and cafes are located within the South Bank Parklands precinct, serving a huge variety of food styles. Water and other cold drinks can be purchased at the entrance counter.

Parents & Carers

A Baby Change Room is available on the ground floor of the Museum.

Accessibility & special needs

The Association has attempted to make the Museum as accessible as possible for all visitors. Please contact the Museum with any concerns or special needs and we will try our best to meet those needs.
