Throughout history, many events have become, for various reasons, well known. One such event is the sinking of RMS Titanic on her maiden voyage, with the loss of 1 514 lives.
To commerate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic, the Queensland Maritime Museum presents an exhibition on the ship, those who sailed on that fateful and the events of the sinking. Material is taken from the Museum\'s and other collections and includes an item from the Titanic when she sank.
The Museum will be participating in a world-wide amateur radio event on Sunday 15 April commencing at 10am to commemorate the loss of the Titanic. We are one of only 8 stations that will attract maximum points in the event when we are contacted by radio. The public are most welcome to attend the Queensland Maritime Museum to observe this event.
